WIZO (Women's International Zionist Organization) is a nonprofit international movement dedicated to the advancement of the status of women, welfare of all sectors of Israeli society and encouragement of Jewish education in Israel and the Diaspora. WIZO was founded in 1920 and today there are over a quarter of a million volunteers in 50 Federations throughout the world.WIZO SF/Bay chapter initiates activities on behalf of the Jewish/Israeli community living in the area. All proceeds are dedicated to the Wizo Nir Ha’emek youth village, Afula Israel. In the last two years we support the project "A Bridge to Life". The project objectives are to renovate an apartment building to be used by soldiers who had graduated from Nir Ha’emek School, and to provide them with the requisite social and financial support to usher their transition to citizenship.
